The house is located on the island of Ciovo, at Mastrinka, near the town of Trogir. The island of Ciovo is connected to the mainland by two bridges in Trogir, so there is no need to use ferries.
Mastrinka is a small resort winding along a pebble beach with a gradual access to the sea. In the resort, 400 meters from the house, there is a grocery store, a restaurant, and a bakery. Along the sea, you can walk to the nearby Arbania, where there are restaurants, café, and inflatable attractions for children at the beach.
You can reach the centre of the neighbouring Trogir after a 2.5 km walk along a nice road leading just past the sea. Trogir is an ancient town, one of the most beautiful in Croatia. Its architecture and location both on the mainland and on the island are interesting. There are many cafes, restaurants, and shops. The local market and fish market are also well-known. You can also get to Trogir by boat taxi (200 meters from the house) or by local bus. For bigger shopping, you can also visit Trogir's Kaufland or Lidl (they are next to each other). Above Mastrinka is the village of Žedno, where there is also a quad bike rental. You can ride on it around the whole island.
Pebble beaches on Ciovo stretch along the sea to the eastern tip of the island, to the Slatine area. In Slatine, there are restaurants, bars, a shop, and a small harbour where you can take a boat directly to the promenade in Split. At the end of Slatine, a blind road continues through beautiful countryside with pine and olive groves along the sea to the lighthouse at the tip of the island. On the way, you pass small wild beaches with turquoise water. From Slatine, you can walk to the south side of the island to the small church of Gospe from Prizidnica or to the wild ridge of the island, where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the surrounding islands and Split. From Ciovo, you can go on interesting excursions, whether to neighbouring Trogir or Split, but also worth exploring is the Klis Fortress above Split, the archaeological site from the Roman Empire in Solin; the Gaj peak above Primosten with the world's largest monument to Our Lady of Loreto (you can drive all the way up). From here, you have an amazing view of Primosten and the surrounding islands, refreshments are offered by a nice cafe.
